Daiva Litvinskaitė is visiting ELTE Faculty of Humanities at the invitation of the Lithuanian and Latvian lectorates.

The lecturer from Vilnius University will give the following lectures in English:

• 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM Voices Across Time: The Literary Tradition of Lithuanian Women Writers

• 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Jurga Ivanauskaitė and Women's Writing in Lithuania after Independence                                                              

Both lectures focus on Lithuanian women’s literature: the first explores why Lithuanian literature has featured so many female authors almost from its very beginnings, while the second offers an introduction to contemporary women’s literature through the works of a distinctive author, Jurga Ivanauskaitė.
